Privacy Policy
October 20th, 2026
Rackview Pty Ltd (ACN 703 296 575) ("Rackview", "we", "us") is a Sydney based company that builds data centre infrastructure management software. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information through our website and the Rackview platform.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We collect only what we need to talk to you, run demos and pilots, and provide the platform:
- Contact details: your name, work email, phone number, job title and organisation, when you book a demo, make an enquiry or join a pilot.
- Account details: your name, work email and role for platform users. Sign in is handled by our authentication provider, so we never see your password.
- Usage information: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and how you use our website and platform.
- Communications: emails, messages and support requests you send us.
- Billing details: billing contacts and invoicing information for customers.
We don't intend to collect sensitive information, such as health or financial account details, and ask that you don't send it to us.
- From you: when you fill in a form on our website, email or call us, meet us at an event or use the platform.
- Automatically: through cookies, analytics and server logs when you visit our website or use the platform.
- From your organisation: when an administrator invites you to the platform.
- From others: when a partner, reseller or contact introduces you to us, or from public sources such as LinkedIn.
You can browse our website without telling us who you are. To book a demo, join a pilot or use the platform, we need your contact details.
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and run demos and pilots
- provide, secure and support the Rackview platform
- manage accounts, contracts and billing
- improve our website, product and services
- send you news and updates about Rackview, where you've agreed or the law allows
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations
We don't sell personal information.
Rackview uses a hybrid control model. Telemetry from your equipment, such as temperatures, power readings and equipment status, is collected, stored and analysed on a Rackview edge device or your own server, inside your facility. It is not stored in the Rackview cloud.
The Rackview cloud handles sign in and routes an encrypted connection between your browser and your site. It does not store your telemetry and can't read it.
Equipment telemetry is generally not personal information. If any data held on site could identify a person, it stays under your control as the operator of your facility.
Automated decisions. Rackview's machine learning analyses equipment telemetry to predict faults, suggest rack placement and find power savings. It does not use personal information to make decisions that significantly affect individuals.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. The platform uses essential cookies to keep you signed in.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website or platform may not work properly if you do.
We share personal information only where needed:
- Service providers who help us run Rackview, including website hosting, authentication, cloud hosting, email, customer relationship management, and analytics
- Partners and resellers who introduce you to us or support you on our behalf, limited to the contact details they need.
- Regulators and authorities where the law requires it.
- A buyer or investor if Rackview is sold or restructured, under confidentiality.
Overseas disclosure. The Rackview platform's cloud services are hosted in Sydney. Some of our service providers store or process information overseas, including in the United States. Partners supporting customers in the United Kingdom and Europe may hold contact details there. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle personal information in line with the APPs.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. These include encryption in transit, access controls, per device certificates and limiting access to staff who need it.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. After that, we delete or de-identify it.
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge to make a request. If we can't give you access or make a correction, we'll tell you why.
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us.
If you have a question or complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on our website, with the date it was last updated.
